The Organisation
"Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival was created in 2004 out of the 750th anniversary celebration of the town's original founding. Since then, the Festival has become a hugely popular annual two day event at the end of October each year.
The organising committee of the Festival is made up of a small group of dedicated volunteers and one part time professional event manager and organiser. The Festival was established as a separate trust organisation in 2006 having previously fallen under the auspices of the Cowbridge Charter Trust. The Cowbridge Food Festival Trust is a non profit making organisation with all monies raised being used to help fund the Festival and hopefully improve its attractiveness and improve the financial stability to ensure its long term viability.

Aims & Objectives
The primary objectives of the charity are:
- To protect, preserve and stimulate public interest and knowledge in Cowbridge and the Vale of Glamorgan by creating a fun and enjoyable weekend for all who visit Cowbridge for the Festival, with the view to encourage them to visit on other occasions.
- To organise and promote an annual festival of food and associated products supported by local and other small specialist producers.
- To provide educational and practical help and advice in food and drink related topics.
- To support other local and charitable organisations within the community as the Trustees think fit.
Philosophy
The overall philosophy of the festival is:
- To actively promote local and primary Welsh producers and suppliers to participate in the event and to ensure that small specialist companies are represented, rather than larger commercial and national organisations.
- To provide a variety of produce that offers a more diverse choice to our visitor base than would be normally found in High Street stores or major supermarkets.
