Cowbridge
Cowbridge, Y Bont Faen in Welsh, is a stunning town situated in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Since Roman times there has been a small town here and the High Street today follows the line of the Via Julia, the main Roman road in South Wales. A wealth of military and domestic remains have been unearthed by archaeological digs and many can be seen at the Town Hall Museum – open 11am to 4pm on the Saturday of the Festival.

The Physic Garden – on the site of the old grammar school, to the rear of the Old Hall – is maturing beautifully and worth a visit at all times of the year. Here you can see a recreation of the historical garden with many plants thought to have a medicinal nature as well as rare beauties like cowslips.
